Motivating Employees – Part One

0 Comments 14 June 2005

Don’t take this the wrong way. Employees are great. But not if you don’t know how to lead and motivate them. In that case, they’re just expenses – big, fat profit-draining expenses.

Why is it so hard to motivate employees to excellence? Maybe because we’re trying to drive them in the wrong direction.

Everyone has skills and strengths. No matter who they are, they have God-given talents and gifts. The key to true, lasting motivation and excellence is to help our employees find those talents and then find satisfaction from applying them to the good of our bottom line. Because no matter how badly we wish it otherwise, our employees drive our business success and our public image.

If employees find internal satisfaction and drive from their work, the average stress or workload of your business will never hold them back.
