Why Is a Web Site Important to Your Small Business?

0 Comments 21 February 2006

If you have a web site…

1. Potential customers who no longer use the yellow pages can find you on their search of choice: Google Local, Yahoo Local, etc.

2. Shoppers who see an advertisement in another media can visit your site to boost their confidence before they give you their time in a "real visit."

3. Search engines will pick up on the keywords in your paragraph and begin to build credibility for your domain name that may become very valuable in later marketing plans.

4. Gen Y demands a web site. To this generation, a business without a web site is a business they’ll overlook with their vast spending potential.

5. You can expand your opportunity to build business alliances and partnerships – you can now build alliances around the web instead of just in your immediate market area. (See earlier post on Partnerships & Alliances).

6. Your vendors can link to your site from their (likely popular) web site to increase your visibility. Don’t forget to ask for this service.
