TheDieline.com: 12 Inches of label

0 Comments 17 February 2009

Small business Tip: Have you thought outside your box today? Don’t just apply great design or great customer experience or great business practices within existing or accepted guidelines. Take note of the guidelines. What are your rules? Write them down so you can get a good grasp on the boundaries. And then, figure out how to change the rules and grab the attention of your target audience.

Here’s a great visual case study. TheDieline.com: 12 Inches of label.

The guideline: Apply the label to the drink bottle in the straight, vertical, usual sort of way.

The change: Wrap the label around the bottle and make folks look twice. Or just drop the change to turn one up.
